I had a wonderful stay at Inn At The Park. the location was fantastic, right across from Balboa Park, making it easy to explore local attractions. The room was spacious and well-appointed, with a kitchenette that added convenience. however, I did experience a couple of minor issues during my stay that could use some attention.

Rooms

My room was like a small apartment, providing comfort and unexpected touches. the kitchenette was complete with a two-burner stove and dishwasher, which was great. But, there was a peculiar odor that lingered, which detracted a bit from my overall experience.

I had a pleasant stay at Inn At The Park, with a beautifully retro-decorated room and a lovely balcony to enjoy the mornings. The location is fantastic, being close to Balboa Park and just a short walk from the San Diego Zoo, which I absolutely loved. However, I had a frustrating experience with the concierge, who pressured me to attend a timeshare presentation under the guise of an informational meeting, which left a sour note on the trip.

Rooms

My room was nicely decorated and clean, featuring a comfortable kitchenette and a spacious bathroom. The retro style added a unique charm.
Service

The staff was generally friendly and helpful, which made my stay more enjoyable. But I did have a negative experience with the concierge team, who were quite persistent.

I had a pretty good stay at the Inn At The Park, which is an older building that's been nicely updated while keeping its historic charm. The staff was very friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome throughout my visit. However, the check-in process could have been a lot smoother and the Wi-Fi was a bit unstable on higher floors. Overall, I enjoyed the spaciousness of my room, especially the kitchenette and the lovely views from the terrace.

Rooms
8.0
My room was huge and well-appointed with upgraded furnishings and utilities, though I wished there were a few more electrical outlets by the bed for convenience. The kitchen was well-stocked, but I did notice that it could really use a kettle to make things easier.
Service

The staff made my experience a positive one. They were friendly and willing to assist with any requests, even though I experienced some issues with the check-in process.
Location
10.0
Its location next to Balboa Park was fantastic. I loved being able to explore the area easily, although it was a bit quieter than the hustle and bustle of downtown.
Dining

While the inn doesn’t have an on-site dining option, there are plenty of restaurants and cafes within walking distance. Notably, there's a great Mexican restaurant just across the street.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel offers some nice amenities, including a laundry room, free parking, and a rooftop terrace that provides excellent views of the surrounding area. However, I did find the parking situation to be a bit inconvenient, especially with valet service being the only option.

5.8/10

My stay at Inn At The Park was generally pleasant due to the spacious, well-appointed rooms and a great location near Balboa Park. However, the aggressive timeshare sales tactics from the concierge really dampened my experience and made me feel uncomfortable during my visit. Overall, while the hotel offered comfort and a nice ambiance, I found the pressure to attend a timeshare presentation to be a significant downside.

Rooms
8.0
The room was like a small apartment with a separate kitchen and all cooking materials, spacious and comfortable. However, I noticed the lack of convenient charging options near the bed and a few hooks in the bathroom would have been useful.
Service
5.0
While the valet and front desk staff were friendly and accommodating, I found the concierge service to be pushy about the timeshare presentations, which overshadowed the otherwise nice service.
Location
9.0
The location is excellent, walking distance to Balboa Park and Hillcrest, making it easy to explore local attractions and enjoy the San Diego ambiance without the usual traffic hassles.
Dining
6.0
I avoided dining within the hotel due to the initial push for timeshare presentations, but the area nearby has several great dining options. Overall, I found the hotel cleaner than I expected and liked the local recommendations I got.
Facilities
7.0
The kitchenette in the room was a great feature, well-stocked for cooking, though I missed having a kettle to make tea. Also, it was convenient to have valet parking, albeit with a flat rate charge.

During my six-night stay at Inn At The Park, I enjoyed the historical charm of the building and the spacious studio room, especially the well-equipped kitchen. The valet parking was a bit pricey at $20, but considering the location near Balboa Park, it was manageable. However, I did encounter slow elevator service and a few maintenance issues, which were a bit inconvenient. Overall, it was a nice visit with a welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff.
